The Board of Education has worked for many years to bring two new high schools to SD62. Many meetings, presentations and public consultations have taken place to get us to where we are today.
October 31, 2011
School District No. 62 (Sooke) receives support from the Province of British Columbia to replace Belmont Secondary School with two secondary school.
December 18, 2012
The two project agreements between the Province and the Board of Education are signed at a public event held at Belmont Secondary School.
Continuing through this process, we have developed 4 Guiding Principles which we use to help make these two new schools the best possible environments for student learning, for decades to come.
